Illume Ltd is a production house founded in 1987 specializing in documentary film production of good quality. The founders of Illume were director Jouko Aaltonen, cinematographer Pertti Veijalainen and anthropologist Heimo Lappalainen. Illume Ltd produces documentary films and television programmes, but also educational and marketing programmes. The company has experience in international collaborative productions. All in all Illume has produced over sixty films, many of them awarded in both national and international film festivals. There are three regular employees at the moment, and over 50 freelancers every year.
