Skopia Films was created in 1987 by producer and director Eric Bitoun. At the beginning, Skopia Films was specialized in the production of short films, and produced about fifty works over a period of fifteen years. These films were broadcasted on France 2, France 3, Canal + and TPS and were also distributed abroad, winning many prizes festivals such as : Clermont-Ferrand, Brest, Cannes, Sarlat, Grenoble. Several films were also selected for the famous Cesar competition in France. As of the past few years, Skopia Films has specialized in the production of documentaries for television, while continuing to follow the production of short films as in the case of the programs " Night of the Short Film " aired annually on France 3 in February. Skopia Films also produces of institutional films for privates companies or government agencies. Since 2003, Skopia Films has concentrated on the production of creative documentaries for television as its main activity. Skopia Films has produced over 35 documentaries, mainly on the themes of "society", in collaboration with both thematic and regional channels, French and foreign national channels.
