The water has an important role in the cults and the beliefs of the Macedonian people. It is believed that it is a spring of life. The life begins and ends in the water. The film presents those beliefs, which are still alive, as it is told in the authentic narrations of the peasants from the Kumanovo village Zubovce situated near the spring Samovilska Voda (Fairy Water). This spring has a great influence to the life of the peasants from Zubovce, but also for the other regions. The people who come there strongly believe that the washing with the water would heal them, or the spells which have affected their health would be broken. The spring is considered as holy and healing, and the established taboos associated with it are respected. The surroundings of the spring and the objects left by the visitors supplement the notion for the holies and instigates the feeling of respect.
