Sophia yesterday, today, tomorrow is a documentary which retraces the important phases in the life of one of the world’s greatest Italian actresses, to whom it is dedicated, Sophia Loren. Through an exclusive interview with the great Neapolitan actress, with images provided by Istituto Luce and interviews with famous names of international cinema (Woody Allen, Ettore Scola, Claude Chabrol, Lina Wertmuller and Maria Grazia Cucinotta), the documentary presents a fascinating and moving cross-section of her life; telling the incredible story of her life and celebrating the life of a woman, who after leaving Pozzuoli, conquered Rome and then Hollywood, won two Oscars and earnt her place among the most popular stars of world cinema. The documentary focuses in particular on the unforgettable roles which Loren interpreted on the screen, roles which made her a symbol of our country in the world and which gained her recognition even beyond the films’ success. A documentary full of unreleased footage, offering a new insight into Sophia Loren’s life.
