Jelenetfotó 1.3In Bombay, the street is home to its inhabitants: those who remain imobile, those who despite being besieged were able to run away, those who keep continually coming back. In this documentary we discover moments of the daily life of Bombay during a twenty-four hour period: dawn, morning, afternoon, dusk, night and daybreak again. Sequences of pictures in time lapse, together with street sounds, represent scenes of the daily life on the “street”, its inhabitants and the most revealing aspect of its social and urban structure: the migration. Shot with a photographic camera and composed by 11000 stills, this film is a representation of this city from a visitor’s external point of view. I intended to draw a pictorial impression of the city, through actions, colors, sounds, the undying witnesses of a human presence as affecting as it is anonymous.
