The Xiuguluan River runs throug the homeland of two os Taiwan’s indigenous tribe – the Ami and Bunun. At the mid-and down-stream levels, the Ami’s fish-catchinh culture derives from the river. At the up-stream level around the Laku Laku River, the Bununs lived for centuries. It was also the site of bloody battle between the Bunun and the Japanese Through the eyes of history, this film presents the old and new faces of Xiuguluan River.
